The Temple of Ara is constantly seeking new ways to bring the Ara Community together. To that end, we welcome you to join our Ara Global Community Forum in order to connect with those working in the Ara Tradition or otherwise studying the work of our founding High Priestess, Phyllis Curott, across the globe. The groups are populated by an assortment of Temple Clergy, Initiates, official members and non-official members, but we all have one thing in common: a commitment to walking our spiritual paths the Ara way.
In the spirit of safe community, we have instituted and uphold the following rules:
1. No flaming, personal attacks, harassment, or otherwise injurious statements towards a specific individual or group. Everyone has a right to his or her opinion, but that opinion must be expressed rationally and without intent to harm.
2. This is not a general Wiccan/Pagan announcement list. Please do not post announcements for events other than those run by or involving the significant participation of Ara folk. Acceptable announcements include Ara Study Groups forming, open circles run by Ara community members, personal announcements such as weddings, births, new jobs, etc., requests for healing energy, and similar. If you are unsure, send your announcement to the moderator first for permission to post.
3. We believe it is important for our community to be informed and involved in the affairs of greater society. But some issues are very divisive. We ask that you restrict discussion topics to those specifically of interest to members of the Ara community. For example, a long epistle on your favourite political candidate or issue is not appropriate. Discussing an article wherein said candidate addresses Wicca or freedom of minority religions, educating members on issues that directly impact Neopagans such as discrimination lawsuits, and otherwise relating socio- political conversations to the daily life of Neopagans *is* appropriate, and welcomed.
4. The Ara Forum is moderated by Temple members and Initiates. When called for, moderators may respond to queries on behalf of the Temple. If you have any concerns about the decisions or behaviour of an Ara moderator, please email the Elders Council at info@templeofara.org
IMPORTANT:
You may receive warnings for violating any of the above-mentioned rules or for harassing other members through e-mail, snail mail, phone calls, personal visits, or any other unwanted activity. Repeatedly engaging in any one of the above is considered stalking. If you are harassing or making threats, you will immediately be banned from the Forum. No exceptions.
Unrelated spam will also get you immediately banned from the Forum. If you send any ads for webcams or personal sites, questionnaires or surveys unrelated to Wicca, Paganism, or the Temple of Ara, or other unsolicited advertisements, you will be removed from the list.
